I nearly cried at that part! I was suspecting Remus*sob one of my favorite characters sob* may die, but he'd go out with a huge dramatic self sacraficing for the greater good type of death scene... But he was just... dead. *sob* And Tonks!!! One of my favorite characters too!!!*sobs more* All she got to do was have a baby and die! I still Teddy, though. *sob* Favorite couple *sob*

Yeah, it was awful.
But you're right, at least Teddy had his grandmother and Harry around (the brief mention seemed to suggest they were very close). And I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it alot over the next few weeks to make myself feel better, at least they went together. I can't imagine Tonks trying to go on without Lupin or even vice versa.
I've got to admit, what I really want to know, is did Teddy have any werewolf traits in him?

They were one of my top favorites too. And Lupin was so happy and proud of little Teddy!
My friend thinks that Tonks should have just stayed behind, but I really don't think Tonks couldn've done that. If Lupin died in battle and she wansn't there, when she could have been, it would have devistated her.

I just...love him, and like the whole idea of Remus being so happy in Shell Cottage - something we've never seen before because he's always so sad and solemn...even on good days and it shows he understands now - understand what it was to be a father for the first time...was so depressing and joyous.

It was really sad but i found it worse when i started reading the Second Battle again - and Tonks kept asking where Remus was...and it was so..."NO! NO NO NO!" ;____;

and then with Remus talking about dying so his son could have a happy life.....and I agree...if Tonks had not died, her life would of been miserable.

Atleast, Remus is at peace now...with his friends...knowing his son is safe in Harry's care but...
Meeeeeeh~ I love him! COME BACK!

I cried at this scene. I just got all choked up.

Teddy lives like Harry did... his parents dying for him in a war against Voldemort, and being raised only with the knowledge of his godfather alive.

Tonks' mother took care of him, and Harry was there for him a lot too. At least Teddy's godfather was there for him a lot more than Sirius ever got to be for Harry.
